Here is a set of 15 tricky questions collected from various sources on the social media. You may have heard some of them, and also tried to answer them, but the idea is just to enjoy. Let’s have some fun this Sunday before Diwali-
1. If money doesn’t grow on trees, then why do banks have branches?
2. Why do we call the place in a stadium where we sit, a stand?
3. Which side of the arm-rest at a theatre is really yours?
4. Why does everyone want to go to heaven, while nobody wants to die?
5. Has anybody experienced what the heaven or hell looks like?
6. Why doesn’t glue stick to its container?
7. Why do we still call it ‘building’, when it has already been built?
8. If we all are supposed to help others, what are others here for?
9. When dog food is ‘New With Improved Taste’, who tests it?
10. If the Black Box flight recorder Is never damaged during a plane crash, why the whole craft is not made out of that stuff?
11. Who owns the copyright to the ‘copyright’ symbol?
12. Why is it called a boxing ring, when it is actually a square?
13. Why do people say, “You’ve been working like a dog”, while dogs just while away all day?
14. Which animal is known as the biggest party animal?

Fun questions. Why do we drive on the parkway but park in the driveway? Happy Diwali. If you are sitting on an outside seat, then the outside armrest (theater or plane) is absolutely yours.

Thank you, Pat, for your interesting additions. But what about the middle seat? Thank you for your kind wishes that I heartily reciprocate!

My guess is that the middle armrest goes to the person with the sharpest elbow and strong forearm muscles. I moved from my middle seat to an aisle seat and was forced to move back to the middle seat when a deadheading flight attendant took the aisle seat. (A flight crew member deadheads when they fly back to their home base for free without working the flight.) She tried to shove my right arm off the armrest for several minutes–I out lasted her because she might have had a right to the seat, but I was determine to have the armrest.

Hahaha, a perfect guess, and nice experience, but my experience says, might is right. Thank you for sharing such a lovely anecdote. I’ll remember it always.
