Like, or Love

What is the difference between
I like you
and
I love you?

Someone beautifully answered it:

When you like a flower,
you just pluck it;

And when you love a flower,
you water it daily..

One believes in possession, while the other in veneration.

One who likes may harm unknowingly for own happiness;
but one who loves will never harm despite getting harmed for your happiness.

And the eternal truth is that love is not hereditary. It can be learnt by loving only.

  1. Beautiful thought and I agree heartily. The flower was a great example and yes, when we love we care so much, even to the point of sacrificing our immediate wants and needs. Thank you Kaushal for sharing this piece of wisdomwith us all..❤️🌹
