How wondrous it feels
to be embraced by someone,
held tightly in his or her arms,
and I surrender
like an innocent babe…
.
The burden of the world vanishes,
whisked off by the gentle first rains,
leaving only the lingering aroma
of petrichor in the air,
giving a feeling
as if I am soaring
in the sky like a bird,
freed from the shackles of gravity;
my heart also quickens its pace,
yet each beat reassures me
that life pulses within…
.
A genuine embrace,
coupled with the right mindset,
evokes a divine feeling,
for it is when
the divine within me meets
the divine within another,
a sacred connection
for which I keep wandering
in the places of worship…
.

Thank you, Kaushal, for another of your beautiful love poems! Your eloquent verses describe wonderfully the elation of being in love and loved, and echo the ancient believe that true love is touched by divine, eternal and sacred.

In arms entwined, a gentle embrace,
A hug bestowed, a sacred space.
For in its warmth, we find a balm,
A healing touch, a soothing calm.
In the curve of arms, worries melt away,
As hearts connect, in a dance of sway.
A simple gesture, yet profound,
In its embrace, love is found.
With each squeeze, a message sent,
Of care, of comfort, of love unspent.
It lifts the spirit, it lightens the soul,
A hug’s embrace makes us feel whole.
In times of joy, in times of woe,
A hug can mend, a hug can glow.
It bridges gaps, it spans the miles,
A universal language, it defies all trials.
So let us embrace, with open arms,
And revel in the magic, of love’s charms.
For in a hug, we find delight,
And fill the world with smiles so bright.
