In the tranquil halls where thoughts reside,
Words drift like shadows, a silent guide…
Some faint whispers, others bold and wide,
Yet some, like arrows, strike deep inside…
.
Some words murmur, gentle as a breeze,
While others roar like tempestuous seas…
Their power lies not in ink’s simple ease,
But in the depth of meaning, they seize…
.
Like syllables swirling in the twilight’s dance,
Words spin tales, leaving traces, perchance…
But handle with care, for they hold the wans,
To mend broken hearts or fuel disdain’s advance…
.
So before we release them, swift in flight,
Let’s ponder their aim, their purpose bright…
For words can heal the wounds or ignite,
Sculpting our realm from dawn till night…
.

Thank you, Kaushal, for highlighting the profound truth that words have the power to hurt or heal, or even change the world as Lenin’s speeches led to the Russian Revolution. The sages advised to think before saying one word and make sure it is kind one (Buddha), Gandhi wrote that one should speak only when it is significant, otherwise, silence is better. A child told that he is not clever, will suffer from a lack of confidence for a very long time, even for life. We must remember that all our actions, including speaking, have lasting consequences.
Thank you for the apt image!

Thank you, Joanna, for your beautiful reflections with suitable quotes and examples. There is nothing else to add, but I fully endorse your last statement regarding our actions, our karma. My mom used to say, count upto ten before saying anything important. Thanks again, Joanna!

Beautiful, KK. A good reminded that once a word escapes our lips, it can never be taken back or unheard.

Another reason to reflect and polish our selves/vessels to receive and take growth from the many wind-tossed words.
Well done!
