Look Within

In a realm where chaos reigns supreme,

Do not ever lament, do not ever scream.

For change begins not with the world outside,

But within oneself, where true power resides.

.

Instead of cursing the fate’s unkind hand,

Look within, where your strength stands.

Like shoes that shield from dirt and grime,

Let inner transformation be your paradigm.

.

Do not spread carpets to hide the mess,

But tread gently, with grace and finesse.

For the world may be rough, and trials gritty,

But true resilience lies in shaping your reality.

.

So, let not echo of complaints fill the air,

But with each stride, show you take care.

For the journey ahead, let it be known,

The power to transform lies in you alone.

.

  1. Thank you, Kaushal, for your excellent verses which guide us to fulfilling and happy life. To change yourself from within is the most difficult goal to achieve but it is a must. We have to stop blaming the world for any unhappiness, and understand that the fault is all ours. There is a simple solution that will help; if we have a faith in something and enthusiasm for something it would make our life worth living, as a wise man said.

I love the most perfect image of your presentation, Kaushal!

  2. ‘change begins not with the world outside’… kind of… we have no foundations at all without the environment and what it hands us. I think people have been leaning into this idea because they didn’t want anything to change. This saying makes it so easy to pain pass and pretend its okay because the world is how it is. Well, I am done giving it permission. I will find the emotional safety I give or I won’t participate. Because, you’re right I can’t make the world value me in my disabilities… but I can sure stop allowing them in my life to wound me from behind. In this way the world stays the same because they can proclaim I am the issue not their fearful bullying. 🤷‍♀️ Its a self fulfilling prophecy to proclaim the world can not change… it chooses not to and instead to validate the hateful ways it chooses to be uncivilized.

    1. Thank you for your well reasoned comment! I appreciate this perspective. A beginning has to be made somewhere sometime. I agree status quoism serves no purpose, an initiative has to be taken. And it depends on individuals how to respond in the given situations. Thank you, my friend, for taking your time to read and comment!

  4. That being said, “I get by with a little help from my friends” (Ringo) and “No man is an island.” (John Donne).

But it does behoove us to honestly assess and own our part, and reach a hand out, to help, or to appeal for it. 🙂
