Forgiveness, a mirror to reality’s face,
What’s done is done, no trace to erase…
Why let the past cast its shadow today,
When tomorrow promises a brighter way?
.
A humble act, yet powerful and profound,
It lifts the burden, the chains unbound…
Anger and bitterness, like shadows, recede,
It loosens the emotional tide, heart’s freed…
.
Wounds are sealed, and healing begins,
Moving forward, the heart and soul spin…
Relationships mend, mutual trust revives,
Understanding blooms, and love survives…
.
Liberation’s sense, peace does impart,
Inner calm, a clear heart and mind start…
For those affected, and those who care,
Forgiveness is an easy gift for all to share…
.
Yet, it’s not so easy, courage is the key,
With conviction, self-reflection, empathy…
To be brave, to release, and to forgive,
Is strength itself, where true hearts live…
.
Not all can forgive, but those who do,
Find peace, the heart is renewed anew…
So let forgiveness be our guiding light,
In the darkness, shining with all its might…
.

This is a wonderful poem and message, Kaushal. Well.penned.
I like the way you led the reader to the inner hopes of the heart (to love) as the reason for forgiveness.

A great poem KK, those with no inner peace can’t truly forgive, but those who do so will live and love truly.

As always, Kaushal, your humanitarian belief inspired today’s beautiful poem! Forgiveness is advocated by most religions as it brings peace to those who can.
I like the interesting image!

You introduce a concept, forgiveness, that is difficult to accept as such. Forgiveness is directed exclusively to objective evil, that is, to unjust action, only to the extent that it has been done to us intentionally and not to the extent that it has a negative moral value. Greetings KK.
