नादानी / Innocence

मैं ने छोड़ दी थी जान बूझ कर अपनी समझदारी, 

लोगों को मेरी नादानियों पर मुस्कराते देखने के लिए…

लेकिन उन लोगों की मुस्कुराहट की कुटिल अदाओं ने 

मुझे मजबूर कर दिया अपनी नादानियां त्यागने के लिए…

I had once set aside my wisdom’s might,

To let others smile at my innocent sight…

But in their smiles, both sharp and sly,  

I saw the truth, and bid naïveté goodbye…
