तमन्ना / Desire

जिंदगी से एक दिन मचलते हुए तमन्ना पूछ बैठी, “मैं कभी पूरी क्यों नहीं हो पाती?”

जिंदगी ने जवाब दिया, “तुम भरोसा करती हो उन पर, जिनका जज्बात से कोई नाता नहीं होता।”

Desire stirred, restless and unsatisfied,

“Why am I never fulfilled?” it once cried…

Life answered, “Your trust is misplaced, 

In those who know not emotion’s taste…”
