मां का आंचल / Mother’s Stole

न मुझे चांद चाहिए

न सितारे

और न कुछ और,

मेरी मां का आंचल

बड़ा है आसमान से भी,

जहां तारों की चमक है,

चांद की शीतलता है,

और सूरज की ऊष्मा भी…

✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

I don’t need the moon,

nor the stars,

nor anything else,

my mother’s stole outshines

the vastness of the sky,

encompassing the twinkle of stars,

the coolness of the moon,

and even the warmth of the sun…

  1. Thank you, Kaushal, for your beyond beautiful love poem dedicated to your beloved mother! As you know, the poems inspired by the deep, eternal love for your mother, are my favourite because I share your reverence for Her. Thank you!

  2. Here is a hard saying by Jesus who clearly taught we are to love everyone, EVEN our enemies.
So we must interpret Scripture with Scripture and ask ourselves, what did Jesus mean when He said, “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”
    Food for thought.

    1. Yes, we too believe in that when we say “Sarve bhavantu sukhinah, sarve santu niramaya…” It means, let all be happy, let all be free from debilitation. Thank you, ca, for reminding me of this shloka!🙏💕
