Once Again

I woke up dreaming of you,
I wanted to touch you
but you weren’t there,
I went out hurriedly,
but you were nowhere…

Missing you,
my mind was wandering
hither and thither like clouds,
amidst the flashes of lightning
and thunder in the sky above…

I groped gradually the memory,
as its closed knots
began to speak a language
of a mysterious mix of
pain and pleasure…

I wanted to decipher,
with the help of
butterflies and bumblebees,
but it remained hidden,
yet presence felt everywhere…

I didn’t know
if the beautiful chirping birds
knew something vital
and wanted to share it with me…

I didn’t know
if the beauty and fragrance
of iridescent flowers all around me
wanted to share
some secret about you…

I didn’t know
if lush trees and plants
wanted to convey
an important message from you
with their delicate vines
and soft sprouts…

But I did know
that you were smiling somewhere
in a corner of the garden
that used to smile
with your infectious smiles…

And I started
looking for that corner
once again…
