खूबसूरती / Beauty

गुलाब की खूबसूरती पर
तो मैं भी फिदा हूं,
लेकिन मेरे बाग के एक कोने की
खूबसूरती को कैक्टस ही बढ़ाता है…

I am also crazy
about the beauty of roses,
but one corner of my garden
is beautified by the cactus…

  1. Thank you, Kaushal, for praising the beauty of roses, but I have at home a much-cherished cactus called Christmas Cactus on account of beautifully and proficiently flowering at Christmas time. It has lots and lots of pink flowers and brings home the spirit of spring when it is cold and horrid outside.
And, of course, cactuses have great use for wildlife and are beautiful too.

    1. I knew, Joanna, you must be having various types of cacti in your beautiful garden, and you are right these have medicinal values too, touted for anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s my lifetime wish to have a glimpse of your garden. Thank you, Joanna, for sharing your beautiful reflections!!

  2. Roses are beautiful for they are soft, fragrant, colourful, and a gift
Cactus are pricky, bulgy and hard to lift 🙂
In one corner is where it fits 🙂
Roses they travel from branch to hand
To lips, to cheeks to eyes and hair band 🙂

    1. बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद।
      गुलाब भी तो कांटों से घिरा होता है।
