Role Reversal

Learning from their friends,
my children also started
hanging their socks near bed,
or keeping their hankies,
under pillows while going to bed
on Christmas eve,
expecting gifts from Santa Claus…

After a few years they realised
that Santa Claus was none
other than their own dad,
who used to bring
chocolates and gifts for them…

Now they have become
Santa Claus for the same dad,
and they have not to pretend
to be Santa Claus
or to wait for Christmas eve…

  1. How beautiful this feels. I indeed sparks joy when we are able to cater to our parents and pamper them especially after realising as an adult what all they did for us. Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
