Unbreakable

Leaves fall everyday
with gusts of wind,
but still swing in it,
the relationship with the wind
remains intact…

Roots also at times
come out of the earth,
but go back
into the same earth,
the connection gets stronger…

Even after being beaten
or scolded by the mother,
the child cries but clings
to the same mother,
who also starts crying,
the relationship
becomes unbreakable

Heart breaks many times,
and tears start trickling down,
but again and again,
it commits the same mistakes,
to maintain a relationship…

It’s not so easy
to snap a relationship…

  1. Thank you, Kaushal, for your wise thoughts.
If I might add a word about the relationships that we keep on going despite being let down again and again; persisting in doing the same while expecting a different, better outcome to our efforts, is a sure sign of madness.

    1. Thank you, Joanna, for your kind comment. I agree with you, that there is a point, whether it’s boiling point or freezing point. When water freezes, the ice so formed can be broken, if it doesn’t melt back.
