कवियित्री / Poetess

We have read,
heard and appreciated
many outstanding poets,
but there is a poetess
par excellence,
who doesn’t use words,
written or spoken,
but expresses her feelings
with its beauty
and fragrance…

  1. Thank you, Kaushal, for the Ode to Nature! Your photos provide detailed proof
    of nature’s greatness.
Being surrounded by nature is essential to our well-being. In Japan, they have
a concept of “shinrin-yoku” or forest bathing or spending time in the woods
taking in the sounds and smells to make us happy. We also get the benefit of breathing in phytoncides, essential oils that trees produce, which boost our immune system. Seeing and hearing birds make my heart soar, and I am not alone in this experience. Many studies showed the great impact of birds on our
well-being. The scent of roses you have shown is almost coming off the screen.
I can daydream about the Himalayas while looking at your photo! I should just add that nature is patient, how long it takes from seed to a tree!

The beauty of nature and the gifts she endowed us with were captured by
    my beloved Rabindranath Tagore:
“Clouds come flowing into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”

PS. Apologies, Kaushal, for writing so much but there is so much that we owe
    nature!

    1. I’m grateful to you, Joanna, for such a beautiful and thoughtful comment, and I agree with everything you have stated. I had written about forest bathing in one of my earlier posts. I think apart from big trees, onion and garlic that I use daily, also release phytoncides. You have also talked about birds and roses, my favourites too, but the concluding quote by Tagore is spot on. Thanks so much, Joanna for taking your time to share your beautiful reflections.

  2. There’s no greater poetess that Mother Nature. Magical photos, KK.

PS – I just wanted to mention there are many times when your page won’t open for me; I have to give it a couple of tries. Could be my Mac but I don’t have that problem with any other site. I wonder if anyone else has mentioned this to you. Perhaps something to look into? Just letting you know. 🤞🏼

    1. First of all, thank you, Nancy for reading and appreciating the post. As regards my page not getting opened, I’ll look into, but nobody else has told me about this. But you know WP, I don’t get notifications of a few blog posts including yours, despite unfollowing and following, as suggested by some readers. But the problem still exists, and the only option left for me is to periodically visit those sites to read, like and comment. But thank you for letting me know.
