Supremacy

One mad man on the loose
wants his neighbour
to accept his suzerainty,
but it maddens another man
sitting somewhere far away
taking it as an attack
on his supremacy…

Both mad men start fighting
taking out deadly weapons
from their sophisticated arsenals,
but before killing each other,
they annihilate
their so-called friends
and innocent onlookers
on the altar of supremacy
that kneels down to find itself
in the rubbles
and piles of mangled bodies,
engulfed by the fumes of sighs
of crippling DNA helixes…

Brilliantly put! We Pole wonder all the time when our great allies will throw us into the fire of battle so that we will turn on for them to preserve their supremacy over other nations, including ours. And as a reward, they will once again turn our country into God’s playground and scorched earth, then sell us like a cow to the enemy in the name of world peace.

    1. I’m deeply touched by your your feelings, my friend. I can feel the pain. But that’s the stark reality, as you have rightly mentioned. Superpowers go on playing games in the courts of others. The best option should be to remain equidistant. Thank you for the visit and your deep reflections.

    1. We should certainly hope and strive for peace, but those who matter, should be equally concerned. Only then this madness will come to an end. Let better sense prevail. Thank you, Doug for your time to be here.

    1. Yes, Joanna, we all wonder, but I think nobody has an answer. We can simply hope that better days are yet to come. Thank you for your kind appreciation!

    1. You’re right, Nancy, mere thought of a nuclear conflict is petrifying. UV radiations may substantially increase the risk of cancer. Agriculture will grind to halt. It will take decades for nature to take over once again. Let better sense prevail and we are saved from catastrophe.

    1. Thank you, Cindy for appreciating the post. I somehow feel that the better sense would prevail ultimately. Our wishes and prayers will definitely work 🙏💐💖

  2. All wars are proxy wars. The key person who has aspirations or feel threatened does not carry the injuries, the personal destruction. They remain comfortably removed from it. The common citizens have no issue with their across the border neighbour. They have more in common than differences. Alas

    1. You’re absolutely right, Jasper, those who aspire, remain in safe confines of their palaces. Those who bear the brunt, are instigated by others. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts.
