It doesn’t matter
for a flower
whether it goes to a temple
or a tomb or a tryst,
but wherever it goes,
it goes with a feeling
of love and reverence,
and when it goes nowhere,
it gives up its flowerhood
to grow into plants
that bear more flowers
to spread love and brotherhoodโฆ
–Kaushal Kishore
Thank you, Kaushal, for the beautiful and poignant poem that echoes the words of The Last Gardener Of Allepo:
“Flowers are the essence of the world.”

Flowers are beautiful and have short life, yet they bloom and feel loved, cared for or ignored. Beautiful and useful in their nature, fragrant and soft, sticky or not? Going to a wedding or getting rot, turning to seeds or missing the lead in the coffins.

What is amazing about flowers is that their beauty is the same whether they are adorning a palace or clutched in the grubby fist of a child. Very well said, KK! ๐๐๐
