Flowerhood

It doesn’t matter
for a flower
whether it goes to a temple
or a tomb or a tryst,
but wherever it goes,
it goes with a feeling
of love and reverence,
and when it goes nowhere,
it gives up its flowerhood
to grow into plants
that bear more flowers
to spread love and brotherhood…
