🌿🍀🌹🥀🌺🍀🌿
Leaves and flowers are not reliable!
they are today but not tomorrow;
the root plays the relationship
with every part of the tree
right from top to bottom,
till the last breath
by remaining
blind, dumb
and deaf…

Thank you, Kaushal, for your evening thoughts. To me, the roots are the most intelligent part of any tree. In the words of the great sage, Rumi:
“Maybe you are searching among the branches for what only appears in the roots.”

Very welcome! Question: do you edit your poems or do they just free flow?

I edit a little bit, but mostly free flow. That’s why I don’t go for rhyming.

Love this, KK! The part of a tree that we never see is the part that is always there, A metaphor for human superficiality or lack of insight? Have a great weekend! ❤

Yes, Cheryl, you have rightly pointed out. We humans have a lot to learn from plants and trees. Thank you and you too have a blessed weekend ❤️💐

Makes me think of how many times I have been the root…unseen, unheard, taken for granted while others bloom. They don’t pay any mind until something severs the bond…and they begin to wilt.
