दीया के बुझने पर
शक करते हैं अक्सर हम
हवा की बदनीयती पर,
किन्तु हम भूल जाते हैं
कि हो जाती है कभी कभी
तेल की कमी भी…

Whenever a diya* goes out,
we often doubt
the intentions of the wind,
but we forget that
sometimes there is
a shortage of oil too…


*P.S. It’s an earthen lamp with a cotton wick dipped in ghee or oil

    1. दोष तो अपना ही होता है, अगर दीए को हवा से बचाया नहीं या तेल भरा नहीं पूरा।
