My dreams were flying
in the cerebral sky
flowers were also blooming
on the coherent ground of heart,
but my eyes were
in a state of disharmony,
searching some shade of a colour
in the washed-out land
of the unknown…
Cold fog had blurred the pearls,
making them listless
but my faithful eyes
continued its efforts
to see the colours
as envisaged by heart and mind
to bring them on a common platform…
Patches of fog were getting clear
with light appearing
both from inside and outside,
and my eyes gradually started
seeing an outline of rainbow 🌈
getting molded in a kaleidoscope,
and my eyes could rest assured
something new was waiting for me…

As soon as I saw the rainbow, Kaushal, I knew your masterpiece of words woven into a beautiful poem would be very special. The rainbow is a much-loved gift of nature; it is not only a uniquely wonderful combination of colors but the inspiration to poets, composers, and writers,
a symbol of hope as there is always something new at the end of a rainbow. I love so much the sign of the dancing rainbow on the walls of my drawing room that I create this effect by hanging crystals in the window.
Thank you, Kaushal, for the poem and the picture of the rainbow since it leads you onto a new path.

You’re absolutely right, Joanna, we never know the beauty of the rainbow unless we see it. I loved your concept of crystals hanging in the window. Colours add hope and beauty to our lives. Thank you for such a fantastic reflection. Much appreciated!!

Beautiful poem, KK. I love fog and a few days of muted colors are restful. Too many, and I miss vivid colors and blue skies.
