Love and the God Particle

Love is sweet
love is blind
love is deep
love is force
love is kind
love is patient
love is in the air
love is like wind
love is like water
like this like that
so many names
so many definitions
so many descriptions
so many principles of love…

Those ready to die for love
are reminded love is life,
those believing in deceit
are softly chided love is faith,
those walking on the sad trails
of life are prompted
that in the ruins of memories,
there is a lot of light
to guide the path,
there are so many thoughts
and counter thoughts…

But when someone says
love is God
I get stuck for a moment,
as I trace its genesis
back to God particle,
the invisible particle
that helps give mass (love)
to all elementary particles,
that caused the big bang
to create this very universe,
I feel this God particle (boson)
inside the sanctum sanctorum
of triangular palpitating machine
in my bosom…

So I conclude love is divine
that happens anytime to anyone
with divine intervention,
love is who I am
love is who you are
love is the reason why we are…

P.S. Higgs boson is often called “the God particle”, because it’s said to be what caused the big bang that created our universe. Peter Higgs of Britain got the 2013 Nobel Prize for proposing its existence.

      1. Those believing in deceit… is the sentence. प्यार में धोखा देते हुए क्या किसी को नहीं देखा आपने अभी तक?

    1. I’m delighted that you liked this piece. I wanted to club boson with bosom, and God with the particle. Thank you, Suzette for your appreciation!

  1. Your essay, the beautifully worded praise to love, Kaushal, is inspiring in your conviction of the overwhelming importance of love. As love is often blind, perhaps that is the reason that we don’t see God?

When you mentioned faith, it reminded me of the words of my favorite poet,
    Rabindranath Tagore:

    “Faith is the bird
    that feels the light
    when the dawn
    is still dark.”

    1. Thank you, Joanna, for your kind words of appreciation and sharing one more beautiful quote of Gurudev. For centuries, we have believed that God is in every particle. Now scientists have discovered God’s particle, that’s also invisible.

  2. A very unique way of defining love
Yet seems to be so simple and known
That’s the beauty of your writings,
Transforming unknown into known and vice versa (you often leave us with some food for thought,)👌💐💐😊

    1. I’m humbled. It’s your graciousness, Reena that you think so. In fact, in the morning, I don’t know what I’m going to write. It just happens. Thank you so much for your kind words 😊💐💖
