On the Road Again

A lot of dreams
lots of aspirations
many expectations
growing in the mind
increasing heartbeats
set my feet on the ground…

I took a convenient route
through back streets
the way was not straight
it diverged into many directions
I got a hunch and took one
my feet kept walking
but my shadow gradually
started getting elongated,
I tried to borrow some light
from the twinkling stars
but that was not enough
to keep me going,
I had to pause…

And I was on the road again
on a different route
in a different direction…
