Obliging Plants

Plants give us shade
when they grow up,
but when they themselves
are raised in the shade,
they dry up,
as they believe in giving back
not receiving
to make a difference
in our lives
and in their own…

  1. I love today’s posts as they all referred to Nature, Kaushal. We need to plant and plant to save our planet, and ourselves. I wrote ones about Chico Mendes whose words stay in my heart,
and I planted many trees in my garden, all well-nourished by irrigation. Chico’s words should be
    remembered:
” At first I thought I was fighting to save rubber trees, then I thought I was fighting to save
the Amazon rainforest. Now, I realize I am fighting for Humanity.”

    1. That’s really my pleasure, Joanna. I’m in total agreement with what you have stated here. Thank you for sharing Chico’s quote that is so true and realistic. As you have planted many trees in your garden, I remember someone had stated that to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.
