Mom: An Ode To Love

Mom,
a word so soothing,
a relationship so comforting,
a feeling so divine,
simply unparalleled,
expressed in several ways
for the umpteenth time
in many odes and tributes
in so many beautiful words,
but not one is complete,
and can’t be ever…

In the galaxy of stars,
I find only one
that keeps shining
and interacting with me,
only one bird in a million
that chirps direct to my ears,
the fragrance of
only one flower in a billion
that makes me happy and affable…

She is my mother
a vast ocean of love
brimming with hope,
faith, feelings, empathy,
patience, perseverance,
dedication and sacrifice
standing like a beacon
always ready
for giving me a magic hug
kissing me on my cheeks…

Those lovely moments
will not come back, I know
change is inevitable,
nothing changes in this world
if nothing changes,
but the only constant remains
the sentiment,
a sentiment of being the apple
of her eye,
a feeling of love,
care and affection,
the concomitant connection
with the umbilical cord is felt
and will continue to be felt
for ever
without speaking a single word..

Everyone is saying
today is the mother’s day
but is there any day
without mother?
Each day of mine is hers,
I still need that love, joy
and blessings in her lap
this day and every day…

On this occasion,
I bow my head at the feet
of all the mothers of the world…

Happy Mother’s Day โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’–โค๏ธ

  1. Thank you, Dear Kaushal, for this Ode Of Love dedicated to your beloved mother. Writing about her so beautifully and often, you have not only immortalized her but made me adopt her as my role model. I promised that my thoughts will be with her on this special day and I feel her blessing bestowed on me too.
