Wholeness

People easily get dejected,
broken, shattered
when not loved,
not understood
knowingly or unknowingly
by someone who matters
or even by those
who don’t matter,
but should it matter
and that much really?

Don’t ever try to find
any reason,
reasons abound
reasonable or not
just send them on a furlough…

There is always something
to be thankful for
a possibility in remission
drifting away in the oblivion
for sometime
but taking control of yourself
enjoying songs and tunes
of your liking
that may or may not be
understood by others,
but those notes in solitude
will help clear
the fogged wheels of mind
and lubricate
the strings of your heart
to play ultimately in resonance
with your wholeness…

P.S. Wholeness doesn’t mean perfection, it means embracing brokenness as an integral part of life.- Parker J. Palmer

  1. KK, a powerful concept to practice gratitude and be at peace with ourselves! We can then reach out to others. We underestimate our power to brighten somone’s day with a smile and a friendly word. It costs us so little to acknowledge someone else’s existence, yet, we are often too preoccupied. We miss the opportunity for connection, and the world becomes a little colder.

    1. Very well said, Cheryl, and so true. Banking is a service industry, but despite that, I used to ask my people to exchange pleasantries with the customers across counters. I don’t know why people become so dry. If you make someone happy and comfortable, you yourself will feel happy and contented. Thank you for sharing your beautiful reflections. Much appreciated!
