A Beautiful Day

When I wake up in the morning
I keep lying on bed for sometime
before giving a jerk to my body
but mind comes into action…

I find someone appreciating
or cuddling someone,
someone seen abusing
or chiding himself or herself
and I find myself
in the midst of those moments
something crystal clear
and something not so clear
some similarities and incongruities
continue inflicting their presence
for quite sometime
throwing choices and possibilities
both within and without
both doable and undoable…

I can’t discern
whether I’m dreaming
or daydreaming
but when I ponder
and start connecting dots,
some distinct lines appear
to be formed
out of those dots
in the realm of oblivion
prompting me
to jump out of my bed
to find a purpose
to make this brand new day
a beautiful day ahead…

  1. What a complex man you are, Kaushal! All the pondering, joining the dots, and musings galore
to finally, fully awake, decide that it is going to be a beautiful day. The presentation of your
    words is excellent!
    Thank you!

    1. Hahaha, Joanna, sometimes complex routes are taken to arrive at a simple point. But on a serious note, I truly appreciate your kind words of appreciation and encouragement. Thank you, Joanna for always being there.

  2. This is wonderful, KK! ❤ Such a gentle and productive way to wake up! I do the same…no more alarm clocks! When I was working, I used to wake up ten minutes before the alarm went off!

May you awaken every day inspired and with purpose! 🙂

    1. You’re so right, Cheryl. I also wake up well before the alarm goes off. It’s said that the most beautiful watch is inside our body. If you decide to wake up at 4 in the morning, you will get up well in time. Thank you for you kind wishes and blessings. God always bless you 🙏💐💖

    1. I don’t see newspapers in the morning, because these are full of bad news items that disrupt the mood in the very beginning of the day. Thank you for reading and sharing your beautiful reflections 😊💖
