दिल और दिमाग की जंग में
न दिल हारता है न दिमाग
हारती तो सिर्फ आंखें हैं
जिनसे बहते हैं आंसू
आत्मसमर्पण में…
👀👀👀👀👀👀
In the battle of heart and mind,
neither the heart loses
nor the mind
it’s the eyes that lose
and their tears flow
in surrender…

Would that we might realise heart and mind are one and, so perceived, may walk in union. That may save many a needless tear.

It is the heart, Kaushal, that wins most of the time over the mind, and according to Princess Diana, this is the way to break the rules. Although I sympathize with her view, I also remember that letting heart rule usually ends up in tears. Perhaps, the balance is needed…

You’re so right, Joanna, a balance is needed, that’s the ideal situation, but you know what happens in actual life. Thank you for quoting Princess Diana.

It’s true KK.
As a child, tears used to flow out of my eyes (even if I don’t feel to cry) while receiving punishment from my parents or teachers.
I started controlling my tears, after growing older (boys don’t cry).
I know, crying helps to release the pain, the burden.
Do I/we dare to cry in front of our friends? If they’re eagerly waiting to mock me/us, saying “You’re weak”.

It seems you were a naughty boy. But joke aside, I’m of the view that feelings should not be suppressed, but when someone is bent upon mocking at you, crying will further add to your weakness. So this is circumstantial. No size fits all.

I wasn’t naughty. Maybe we prefer to adopt changes that improves our lives towards better.
