(English Version)
Lost on the twilight path
in the clump of memories,
I’m looking for something
missing in my life,
the pathways are some known
and some unknown,
sometimes the memories
start failing me
and sometimes my soul,
sometimes the shadow
gets elongated and then
disappear altogether,
sometimes my steps
start slowing down
as it’s easy to stay
that body craves always
away from the scorching heat,
I start pondering,
even if I wish to go back,
I have to walk
almost the same distance…
but the rays of twinkling light
coming from the front
every now and then
beckon me to the shore
invitingly ratcheting up
my level of dopamine,*
and I start moving forward
with the same gusto again,
in the same direction
with the hope
that something wonderful
is about to happen…
*a happy (feel-good) hormone

You have perfectly described, Kaushal, the human condition; from the time of Eden, when Adam and Eve were missing something – an apple of knowledge, we all share the same feeling,
I love the perfect pictures and the upbeat ending – something wonderful is going to happen!

You’re right, Joanna, since the very beginning, human beings have never been complete. They missed this thing or that thing, always, and I think, that gives the purpose of life ahead. Thank you for your thoughtful response and kind words of appreciation!
