I was born human
but geography,
race, religion, wealth
and profession have made me
everything else,
but not human,
and the first casualty
is humanity…

What an incredibly beautiful way of pointing out all that is wrong with seeing people differently than seeing everyone as our brothers and sisters. Amen 🙏

Yes, Joni, we all are born equal, but we ourselves create artificial walls to differentiate and discriminate. This is a slap on human race. Thank you for reading and reflecting 🙏💐

We create artificial walls and if you live in the US we create physical walls. I still can not get the little caged eyes of the children placed and separated from families because they crossed a border looking for a better life. That breaks my heart as does racism. 🤗❤️

I agree, Joni, the artificial walls become real ones, when we bring in issues like religion and apartheid. Thank you for your touching words 😊💖

I agree, Kaushal, that we cannot choose where to be born and in what family, but I loved and retained the words of great American comedian/broadcaster, Bob Hope. When asked by an interviewing Jewish journalist: “Are you Jewish?” he said: “I am human first, then Amerian, and everything else after that.”
And that is my mantra too…

Well said, Joanna. I loved the quote of Bob Hope. I too believe in it. Discrimination of people on any ground whatsoever is not at all desirable, but the reverse is happening, unfortunately. Thank you for this wonderful comment.

I am very happy that we feel the same, Kaushal, about perhaps, the most important issues
for humanity.
For the benefit of these readers who don’t know; Bob Hope was Jewish.

Yes, Joanna, by now, you must have noticed that we think alike on most of the issues. That’s why we are friends. Thank you!
