स्वीकार्य नहीं / Not Acceptable

लड़ाई तो खत्म हो जायेगी
आज नहीं तो कल,
पर साथ में कुछ जिंदगी भी
जो गुम हो गई इसके साथ,
वह घाव नहीं भरेगा
जिसने घायल कर दिया है उनके रिश्ते को
शारीरिक और भावनात्मक तौर से,
वह मुस्कान नही लौटेगा
जो उनके होंठों की कभी शोभा बढ़ाते थे,
वह धरती जो लाल हो गई है मासूम खून से
उसे अपनी वह हरियाली नहीं मिलेगी वापस
इतनी जल्दी…

जिंदगी की पहचान गुम सी हो गई है,
प्यार दुलार आत्मीयता सब खत्म,
जाने कब देख पाएंगे फिर हम
बच्चों की किलकारियां
युवाओं की मस्ती और मुस्कान
युवतियों के हाथों में मेंहदी की लाली
पायलों की मधुर खनखनाहट…

कहां थे और कहां पहुंच गए हम,
कब होगी खत्म यह त्रासदी आखिर,
निर्माण में सदियां गुज़र जाती हैं
और विध्वंस मात्र कुछ पलों में,
हम जिंदगी ढूंढ रहे हैं दूसरे ग्रहों पर
जबकि अपने ही ग्रह की जिंदगियों को
तबाह किए जा रहे हैं…

कुछ लोगों द्वारा हम पर थोपा जाने वाला
मरने और मारने का यह नया धर्म
अब स्वीकार्य नहीं,
बहुत हो चुका दानवता की दरिंदगी
का नंगा नाच,
मानवता को हमें पुनः स्थापित करना होगा
मानव और मानवीय बनकर…

English Translation

The fight will end
today or tomorrow,
but also some lives with this fight,
the wounds which have scarred
their relationships
both physically and emotionally
won’t heal,
the smile that once adorned their lips
won’t come back,
that part of the earth
colored with innocent blood
won’t regain its greenery
so quickly…

Life itself has lost its identity
love, caress, intimacy all gone,
we don’t know
when we’ll be able to see again
children’s squeals
fun and smiles of youth
henna glowing on maidens’ hands
sweet tinkling of anklets…

Where we were
and where we have arrived,
when will this cataclysm end?
it takes ages for construction,
but just a few moments
for destruction,
we’re looking for some unknown life
on other planets,
while annihilating the lives
of our own people of this very planet…

Where have the learnings
of the Bible, Gita and Quran gone?
this new religion of killing
and getting killed
being imposed on us by select few
is not acceptable anymore,
the orgy of the demonic scourge
is enough now,
the faith in humanity must be restored
being human, and being humane…
