What If…

What if I’m not perfect
my hairs are greying or receding
what if I have a bulging belly
what if I could not earn as much
as my friends or relatives could…

I know I have scores of deficiencies
If I I try to perfect one,
the other nosedives
six sigma approach
doesn’t work in my life…

And if at all
the so-called perfection is achieved
it’s momentary,
infection of rat race lurks behind
always grappling with fear
of getting pulled down any moment
from numero uno position
with stress ever-ready
to shear that joy…

So I do things in my own ways
that may not be perfect
life may not be the way I wished
but I try living my life
in my own best way possible
by filling it
with near near perfect moments…

If my acts and words
can make others smile
and their echoing smiles
make me smile back at them
it won’t be less than a perfect life…
