Sharing

We keep packing everything up
like wealth and treasure
whether it’s joy or sadness
thinking it will ever work
but this thinking
comes in handy
for a few moments only
not for ever…

Sharing increases our joy
and lessens our sorrow
we know but we don’t share
may be inhibitions, rivalries
or simply introversion,
we keep everything
closed inside the chest
but when the heart fills
beyond its capacity,
it bursts with tears
with thunderous sound
from within
like a dam burst…

And then an eerie silence,
an infinite peace
that lasts as long as
we keep our heart open
smile without condition
talk without hesitation
share our feelings
give without reason
and care without expectation…
