The Irony

Rice and wheat are cylindrical
pulses are round
vegetables are either long,
cylindrical, round or conical
large, medium or small
dishes and utensils are also
of various sizes and shapes
but rarely square one…

and so is a square meal
on a square platter
strenuous to afford,
onerous to reshape
the edges of life
that run around in circles
vacillate between yes and no
back and forth
difficult to square off
and life back to square one
in the same vicious circle…
